Wagner Behavioral Science Research Methods and Statistics was founded on 16-Jan-2024. Michael F. Wagner, Ph.D. is the owner and sole proprietor. Here is his story:
In graduate school at Northern Illinois University’s Department of Psychology, Michael became enamored to social science research methods and statistics. Trained by Dr. John J. Skowronski and Dr. Joel S. Milner, Michael had blended interests. He was in a Social/Industrial-Organizational Psychology program, but fell in love with working at the Center for the Study of Family Violence and Sexual Assault on the far west side of Northern Illinois University’s campus. The Center employed faculty from different Areas but mostly clinical psychology.
At the Center, Michael received frequent one-on-one mentorship from faculty. He began there in 2010, the year he graduated from his undergraduate program in Psychology and Philosophy. It was there that Michael developed a professional and mutually-beneficial relationship with Dr. Milner. Michael went on to complete many of his 16+ published paper’s studies in affiliation with the Center. Twice, Michael earned the Center for the Study Family Violence and Sexual Assault Pre-doctoral Fellowship.
Aside from Michael’s work at the Center, he loved to get involved in many diverse projects. He has eclectic interests. But he was not sure academia was the place for him, both because he was not as focused on furthering any single line of research and because he had no teaching experience. Instead, he discovered that research methods and statistics was where his true passion lied. Regardless of the subject area, Michael was interested in building his knowledge, skills, and abilities in Behavioral Science Research Methods and Statistics.
Michael spent two years as a freelancer, building his communication and organization skills to serve multiple clients efficiently. In January of 2024, he officially created his business: Wagner Behavioral Science Research Methods.
Since its founding Wagner Behavioral Science Research Methods Michael has contracted with MARS Global as a statistician. Michael is continuing his prior client relationships. He is passionate about solving their unique problems or fulfilling their research-related needs. As his portfolio grows, Michael is excited to grow his company with the help of diverse clients, a wonderful audience on social media, and his family, friends, and colleagues.
